Timing Chain: Service and Repair
Aligning Timing Marks. 1991-92 Models:
1.
Remove front cover as outlined under
ENGINE FRONT COVER. 2.
Loosen but do not remove
camshaft bolt.
3.
Align timing marks on
camshaft and
crankshaft gears, then remove camshaft bolt.
4.
Remove
timing chain and sprocket.
5.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a.
Align timing marks as shown in
Fig. 8.
