Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Catalyst Configuration:

Remove or Disconnect:
1. Support converter
2. Cut front and intermediate exhaust pipes at the converter using J29800 or BT-8252. Cut as close to welds as tool will permit.
3. Remove converter
4. Remove remaining portions of the converter inlet/outlet from the front pipe and intermediate pipe/resonator assembly.

Install or Connect:
1. Install converter. Position intermediate pipe/resonator assembly for proper clearance to under body during converter installation.
2. Install Guillotine type exhaust clamps
