Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Ignition Coil & Bracket:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Secondary lead. (Pull on boot with twisting motion. Do not pull on wire.)
2. Primary electrical connectors (do not pry on latches with screwdriver, as it may break).
3. Ignition coil mounting screw and nuts.
4. Ignition coil.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Ignition coil.
2. Ignition coil mounting screw and nuts. Tighten screws and nuts to 10 Nm (89 lb. in.).
3. Primary electrical connectors. Assure that they are fully seated and latched.
4. Secondary lead. Assure lead is fully seated on coil tower.
