Pick-Up Coil: Service and Repair

Distributor Assembly:






REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Distributor from engine. Refer to Distributor. Service and Repair
2. Distributor cap by simultaneously depressing and rotating screws counterclockwise 180 degrees. Lift cap from housing.
3. Mark rotor and shaft assembly for proper alignment during assembly.
4. Rotor screws and rotor from shaft assembly.

IMPORTANT: Mark shaft and driven gear for alignment during assembly.

5. Roll pin from shaft.
6. Gear from shaft.
7. Washers from shaft.
8. Shaft from housing.
9. Pick-up coil electrical connector from module.
10. Pick-up coil "C" retainer.
11. Pick-up coil from housing.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Pick-up coil to housing.
2. Pick-up coil "C" retainer.
3. Pick-up coil electrical connector to module.
4. Shaft to housing.
5. Washers to shaft.
6. Gear onto shaft.

IMPORTANT: Align marks on driven gear, housing, and shaft assembly.

7. Roll pin into shaft.
8. Rotor and screws.
9. Distributor cap.
10. Distributor to engine. Refer to Distributor. Service and Repair
