Compressor and/or Brace

A/C Compressor:




A/C Compressor:






Remove or Disconnect

^ Recover refrigerant.
1. Battery negative (-) cable.
2. Electrical connectors from A/C compressor.
3. Serpentine drive belt from A/C compressor pulley by releasing belt tension at tensioner.
^ Drain engine coolant.
4. A/C compressor and condenser hose assembly.
^ Raise and suitable support vehicle
5. Attaching nut and ground terminals from below ignition coil.
6. Engine oil cooler hoses (if equipped).
7. Lower radiator hose clamp and hose from radiator.
8. Front A/C compressor mounting bolts.
9. Rear A/C compressor mounting bolts.
10. A/C compressor from vehicle.

Install or Connect

1. A/C compressor with mounting bolts.

Tighten
^ Front A/C compressor mounting bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb.ft.).
^ Rear A/C compressor mounting bolts to 31 N.m (23 lb.ft.).

2. Lower radiator hose to radiator and secure with clamp.
3. Engine oil cooler hoses (if equipped).
4. Ground terminals (below ignition coil) with attaching bolt.

Tighten
^ Ground terminals attaching nut to 31 N.m (23 lb.ft.).

^ Lower vehicle.
5. A/C compressor and condenser hose assembly.
^ Refill engine coolant.
6. Serpentine drive belt to A/C compressor pulley.
7. Electrical connections to A/C compressor
8. Battery negative (-) cable.

Tighten
^ Battery negative cable to 15 N.m (11 lb.ft.).

^ Evacuate and charge the A/C system.
