Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Serviceable Exhaust Components:

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Support converter.
2. Cut resonator at tbe converter using J 29800 or BT-8252. Cut as close to weld as tool will perrnit.
3. Remaining portions of the converter inlet/outlet from the resonator assembly.
4. Fasteners from front exhaust pipe.
5. Converter.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Converter to front exhaust pipe with fasteners. Support converter.
2. Converter to resonator using guillotine clamp (position clamp so nuts are toward the drivers side of vehicle). Position exhaust system for proper clearance to underbody during converter installation.
