Rear Liftgate Window Release

When the Endgate Window Release button is pressed on the transmitter and the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver receives a valid VAC, the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver supplies battery voltage to the Endgate Window Release Actuator.

With Auto Transmission
Ground for the liftgate glass release motor is supplied through the Park/Neutral Position and Backup Lamp Switch only with the automatic transmission in the PARK or NEUTRAL positions. This prevents the window from being opened while the vehicle is being driven.

With Manual Transmission
Ground for the Endgate Window Release Actuator is supplied through the Park Brake Warning Switch. This prevents the window from being opened while the vehicle is being driven.
