Shift Interlock Solenoid: Service and Repair

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Negative battery cable.
2. Lever handle assembly from shifter.
3. Disassemble console as needed to access shift control assembly.
4. Park lock cable from shift control assembly.
5. Shift control cable from shift control assembly.
6. Electrical connections.
7. Shift control assembly.
8. Shift interlock solenoid assembly from control assembly.

INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Shift interlock solenoid assembly.
2. Shift control assembly to floor console bracket.
^ Tighten mounting nuts to 24 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
3. Electrical connections.
4. Shift control cable.
5. Park lock cable.
6. Assemble console.
7. Lever handle assembly.
8. Negative battery cable.
