Compressor Replacement






Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Recover the refrigerant from the system.
3. Remove the drive belt.
4. Remove the electrical connectors as necessary.
5. Remove the compressor and condenser hose assembly.
6. Remove the compressor bolts.
7. Remove the compressor from the bracket.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the compressor into the bracket.
2. Install the compressor bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the compressor and condenser hose assembly.
4. Install the electrical connectors as necessary.
5. Install the drive belt.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
7. Add refrigerant to the system.
8. Inspect the system for leaks.
