Manuals through 2025 now available!
Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.
LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge and High Temperature Indicator
This function controls the Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge and the High Temperature indicator (red). The
Powertrain Control Module (PCM) reads the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor and sends the information to the
Body Function Controller (BFC) via Class 2 serial data link. The
Body Function Controller (BFC) converts the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) data into gauge data for the Instrument Cluster sent via Serial Peripheral Interface
(SPI) serial data link. The Body Function Controller (BFC) also sends the High Temperature indicator ON/OFF request to the Instrument Cluster via the Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) serial data link. The Instrument Cluster receives the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor information via Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) serial data link and converts it into a Temperature Gauge pointer position.
