Ambient Air Temperature Sensor






Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector the temperature sensor that is located on the front radiator air baffle.
4. Remove the temperature sensor from the radiator air baffle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the temperature sensor to the radiator air baffle.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the sensor. Verify the electrical connection at the right hand rail near the shock tower base.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 32 km/h (20 mph) or greater for more than 1.30 minutes in order to obtain the ambient update. The sensor will not operate if the vehicle speed drops below 32 km/h (20 mph) during the 1.30 minutes.
