Accumulator: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Remove the oil pan.
2. Remove the filter.
3. Remove the accumulator bolts/screws (131).
4. Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts/screws (103).





5. Remove the accumulator (132).
6. Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover (104).





7. Remove the manual 2-1 band servo (106-116).
8. Remove the manual 2-1 band servo cover gasket (105) from the case.
9. To disassemble, inspect and service the accumulator and manual 2-1 band servo, refer to Accumulator Assembly, 2-1 Band Servo Disassemble and 2-1 Manual Band Assemble in Transmission Unit Repair.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Install the manual 2-1 band servo (106-116).
2. Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover gasket (105) into the case.





3. Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover (104).
4. Install the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts/screws (103).
^ Tighten the manual 2-1 band servo cover bolts/screws (103) to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).

NOTICE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the accumulator (132).
6. Install the accumulator bolts/screws (131).
^ Tighten the accumulator bolts/screws (131) to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).

7. If removed, install a new filter seal.
8. Install the filter.
9. Install the oil pan.
