General System Repair Procedures

The following are general precautions which should be observed when servicing and diagnosing the air conditioning system. Failure to observe these precautions may result in system damage.

^ Never connect or disconnect connectors with the ignition switch in the ON position.
^ Do not disassemble any component which is designated as non-serviceable. Some manual air conditioning system components are not serviced separately and must be replaced as an assembly.

When installing vacuum lines, be sure they are:

^ Properly routed and retained.
^ Fully seated with retainers (where specified).
^ Free from kinks and pinches.
