Hard Steering

If hard steering exists, inspect for the following conditions:
^ Magnasteer (TM) system malfunction (at low speeds). Refer to POWERTRAIN MANAGEMENT.
^ Intermediate shaft coupling damaged or worn
^ Tight steering column bearings
^ Sticking flow control valve
^ Insufficient pump pressure
^ Air in power steering system
^ Low fluid level
^ Excessive internal pump leakage
^ Excessive internal rack and pinion leakage
