Troubleshooting Hints - Power Windows

PERFORM BEFORE BEGINNING SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS
1. Always check terminal contact before replacing any component.
2. Check IP Fuse Block RADIO FUSE 8D by visual inspection.
3. Check RH MaxiFuse(R) Block PWR WDO/SR Circuit Breaker by visual inspection.
4. Check IP Junction Block POWER WDO/SUNROOF RELAY by visual inspection.
5. Check that grounds G201 and G202 are clean and tight
6. If windows move slowly, check that:
^ Windows are free of mechanical binding; pivot joints are greased.
^ Battery is fully charged.
7. If a motor's internal circuit breaker trips, it does not reset until voltage is removed from motor.
8. If power windows do not operate for approximately 10 minutes (or until a door is opened) after ignition switch is turned to the OFF position, refer to Retained Accessory Power for diagnosis. Accessory Delay Module
9. Check for a broken (or partially broken) wire inside of the insulation which could cause system failure but prove GOOD in a continuity/voltage check. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures.
10. Check for proper installation of aftermarket electronic equipment which may affect the integrity of other systems. Refer to Troubleshooting Procedures. Diagnostic Aids
