Brake Switch (Cruise Control): Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE

NOTE: Proper stoplamp switch adjustment is essential. Improper stoplamp switch adjustment could cause brake drag and excessive brake lining wear.

1. Remove the left sound insulator.
2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
3. Remove the release switch (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the release switch (1) to the bracket (4).
2. Connect the electrical connectors.
3. Adjust the switch. Refer to Brake Release Switch Adjustment Adjustments.
4. Install the left sound insulator.
