A/C Refrigerant Pressure Sensor Replacement

A/C Compressor Hose:

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: The pressure sensor is mounted on a Schrader-type valve. Do not recover the refrigerant from the A/C system when replacing this sensor.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the sensor.
2. Remove the following components:
^ The switch
^ The O-ring seal

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Lubricate the O-ring using 525 refrigerant oil.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the following components:
^ The new O-ring seal
^ The switch

Tighten
Tighten the sensor to 12 N.m (9 lb ft).

3. Connect the electrical connection to the switch.
