EVAP Test State

The display shows the [1][2]EVAP test state as Wait For Purge, Test Running or Test Completed. This display indicates the current state of the PCM's EVAP test or the scan tool's Service Bay Test. Wait For Purge indicates conditions are not correct for sufficient purge flow. Slightly raising engine idle speed may increase purge flow enough to allow the diagnostic tests to start.
