Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Relieve the fuel pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure. Fuel Pressure Release
2. Remove the fuel filler cap.
3. Remove the fuel feed nut and plastic quick connect fitting from either side of the filter.




4. Remove the clamp bolt.
5. Remove the filter and the clamp from fuel lines.




6. Remove the clamp from filter.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the clamp to filter.




2. Install the filter and clamp to fuel lines.
3. Install the clamp bolt.




4. Install the fuel feed nut and plastic quick connect fitting on either side of the fuel filter.
5. Install the fuel filler cap.
6. Check for leaks.
