Control Assembly Replacement


REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the accessory trim plate.
3. Remove the heater and A/C control (1) away from the instrument panel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connections.




5. Disconnect the vacuum hoses at the rear of the vacuum switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the electrical connections.
2. Connect the vacuum hoses.




3. Install the heater and A/C control (1) to the instrument panel (2).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the heater and A/C control retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the A/C control retaining screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the accessory trim plate.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

6. Connect the negative cable.

Tighten
Tighten the negative battery cable bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
