Generator Bracket Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
2. Remove EGR heat shield bolt at the generator brace bracket.
3. Remove the rear generator brace.
4. Remove the fuel rail assembly.
5. Remove the generator brace bracket bolts.
6. Remove the generator brace bracket.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the generator brace bracket to the engine.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the generator brace bracket bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the generator brace bracket bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

3. Install the fuel rail assembly.
4. Install the rear generator brace.
5. Install the EGR heat shield bolt at the generator brace bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the EGR heat shield bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

6. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
