Steering Wheel Control Switch

REMOVAL PROCEDURE





1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
2. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Infl Rst Steering Wheel Module Replacement in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
3. Disconnect the steering wheel control switches using a small flat-blade tool.
4. Pry out the steering wheel control switch at the lower edge of the steering wheel control switches.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the steering wheel control switch.
6. Remove the steering wheel control switch from the steering wheel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE





1. Connect the electrical connector to the steering wheel control switch.
2. Connect the steering wheel controls switch to the steering wheel.
3. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Infl Rst Steering Wheel Module Replacement in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
4. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Air Bags and Seat Belts.
5. Verify proper operation of the steering wheel control switches.
