Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

SEEK

The SEEK push-button is a rocker type switch which provides seek up or down of CD tracks in the direction pressed. This button is shared with the frequency seek function in tuner mode and with the cassette seek function in dual playback applications.
^ If you press the top portion of the rocker, the audio will mute while the deck searches for the beginning of the next track, and begins playing. Each successive momentary depression of this button will increment the track number by one. This function is replicated on models equipped with steering wheel controls.
^ If you press the bottom portion of the rocker, the audio will mute while the deck searches for the beginning of the current track being played, and begins playing. If this function is enabled within the first 8 seconds of a track, the unit will start playing at the beginning of the previous track. Each successive momentary depression of this button will decrement the track number by one.
