Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
3. Drain the engine oil.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from Engine Oil Level Switch.
5. Remove the Engine Oil Level Switch from the oil pan.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the engine oil level switch.

Tighten
Tighten the engine oil level switch to 34 N.m (25 lb ft).

2. Lower the vehicle.
3. Add the engine oil to the correct level.
