Fuel Pump Control Unit: Service and Repair




REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the negative battery cable.
2. Pull back the rear compartment trim panel.
3. Remove the electrical connector (3) from the fuel pump control module.
4. Remove the fuel pump control module (1) attaching nut (2).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the fuel pump control module (1) attaching nut (2).

Tighten
Tighten the fuel pump control module attaching nut to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

2. Install the electrical connector (3) to the fuel pump control module (1).
3. Re-position the trunk liner.
4. Install the negative battery cable.
