Vehicle Speed Sensor Reluctor Wheel Replacement

Removal Procedure

^ Tools Required
- J 22888 Side Bearing Remover Set





1. Remove the final drive. Refer to Final Drive Replacement.

Important: Do not remove the reactor wheel (713) unless the reluctor wheel is damaged.

2. Use the J 22888 and a piece of flat metal stock in order to remove the reluctor wheel (713).


Installation Procedure





1. Warm the reluctor wheel before installation
2. Use a plastic mallet in order to install the reluctor wheel (713) onto the differential carrier housing. Tap evenly around the reluctor wheel with the mallet.
3. Install the final drive. Refer to Final Drive Replacement.
