Assist Step Support Bracket Replacement (Diamond Edition)

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the assist step assembly.
2. Remove the 3 mounting brackets.

1. Remove 2 nuts from the U-bolt of each bracket.
2. Remove the bracket.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the 3 mounting brackets if required.

1. Install the U-bolt into the frame.
2. Install the bracket with 2 nuts.

Tighten the bracket nuts to 35 N.m (26 lb ft).

2. Install the assist step assembly to the mounting brackets.
