Blower Control Module Replacement - HVAC System - Automatic

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor control module.




4. Disconnect the blower motor control module electrical connector from the blower motor.

IMPORTANT: The opening to the blower motor control module is slotted. Access to the blower motor control module opening is limited.




5. Loosen both of the forward bolts.
6. Remove the rearward bolt.

IMPORTANT: Tilt down the rear of the blower motor control module.

7. Remove the [1][2]blower control module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Align the blower motor control module forward retaining slots onto screws and seated against the HVAC module.




1. Install the blower motor control module.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the blower motor control module rearward bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the blower motor control module rearward bolt to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

3. Tighten both of the forward bolts.

Tighten
Tighten the blower motor control module forward bolts to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).




4. Connect the blower motor control module electrical connector to the blower motor.




5. Connect the electrical connector from the blower motor control module.
6. Install the right side instrument panel insulator.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
