Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Starting and Charging.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch.
4. Remove the engine oil pressure switch.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Install the engine oil pressure switch.
Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
2. Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Starting and Charging.
