Coolant Level Indicator Module: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure





1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Starting and Charging.
2. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
3. Remove the surge tank. Refer to Surge Tank Replacement.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the coolant level switch.
5. Remove the coolant level switch.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the coolant level switch.
2. Connect the wiring harness connector to the coolant level switch.
3. Install the surge tank. Refer to Surge Tank Replacement.
4. Fill the surge tank with engine coolant.
5. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure in Starting and Charging.
6. Inspect for leaks.
