Theft Deterrent Exciter Module Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
2. Remove the reader/exciter from the ignition lock cylinder housing (4).
2.1. Release the clips (1, 2)
2.2. Slide the reader/exciter off the lock cylinder. Clip (2) may tend to catch on the illumination ring and need to be unhooked.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Slide the reader/exciter onto the ignition lock cylinder housing (4).
2. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
