Control Module HVAC: Service and Repair
BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL PROCESSOR REPLACEMENTREMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the right closeout panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right In Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
2. Remove the instrument panel compartment. Refer to Storage Compartment Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
3. Remove the Dash Integration Module (DIM) from the bracket and position aside.
4. Remove the rear DIM bracket screws and lower the bracket enough to access the blower motor control processor.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector (1).
6. Remove the blower motor control processor retaining screws.
7. Remove the blower motor control processor.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the blower motor control processor.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the retaining screw.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).
3. Connect the electrical connector (1).
4. Install the DIM bracket screws.
Tighten
Tighten the screw to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).
5. Install the DIM into the bracket.
6. Install the instrument panel storage compartment. Refer to Storage Compartment Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
7. Install the right closeout panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
