Transfer Case Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.





2. Remove the transfer case shield mounting bolts from the crossmember.
3. Remove the transfer case shield from the crossmember.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the transfer case shield.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the transfer case mounting bolts to the crossmember.
Tighten the transfer case shield bolts to 33 Nm (24 ft. lbs.).
3. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
