Oil Pressure Sensor: Service and Repair

ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR OR SWITCH REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Disconnect the battery ground (negative) cable.
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the engine oil pressure switch. Refer to LX5 - Engine Component Views (Bank 1).
4. Remove the engine oil pressure switch.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




1. Install the engine oil pressure switch. Refer to LX5 - Engine Component Views (Bank 1).

Tighten
Tighten the engine oil pressure switch to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

2. Connect the electrical connector to the engine oil pressure switch. Refer to LX5 - Engine Component Views (Bank 1).
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable.
