Heater Case/Cover Replacement

HEATER CORE COVER REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the right IP insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
2. Remove the left IP insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
3. Remove the center console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
4. Remove the screws retaining the heater outlet duct.
5. Remove the heater outlet duct.




6. Remove the screws retaining the heater core cover.
7. Remove the heater core cover.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the heater core cover.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the heater core cover retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).




3. Install the heater outlet duct.
4. Install the heater outlet duct screws.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 1.6 N.m (14 lb in).

5. Install the center console. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
6. Install the left IP insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
7. Install the right IP insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
