Instrument Panel Module Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURECAUTION: Refer to SIR Inflator Module Handling And Storage Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming.
2. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment.
3. Remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) from the inflatable restraint I/P module yellow 2-way connector (2).
4. Disconnect the inflatable restraint I/P module yellow 2-way connector (2).
5. Remove the inflatable restraint I/P module screws (3).
6. Remove the inflatable restraint I/P module (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the inflatable restraint instrument panel (I/P) module (1).
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the screws (3) that secure the inflatable restraint I/P module.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
3. Connect the inflatable restraint I/P module yellow 2-way connector (2).
4. Install the CPA to the inflatable restraint I/P module yellow 2-way connector (2).
5. Install the I/P compartment.
6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Air Bag(s) Arming and Disarming.
