Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair

MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield.
2. Remove the vacuum hose from the intake manifold.
3. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector.
4. Remove the MAP sensor (1).
5. Inspect the MAP sensor grommet for wear or damage, and replace if necessary.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the MAP sensor (1) to the intake manifold.
2. Connect the MAP sensor electrical connector.
3. Install the vacuum hose to the intake manifold.
4. Install the fuel injector sight shield.
