Power Window Switch Replacement - Rear Door

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT:
^ When removing a door trim panel or a switch plate, the ignition switch must be in the OFF position. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch if a flat-bladed tool, awl or metal object is used to remove the switch from the harness.
^ Protect the trim panel at the point of insertion of the flat-bladed tool in order to avoid damaging the door panel.

1. Use a small, flat-bladed tool to remove the power window switch plate.
From under the pull handle, insert the tool at the rear of the switch plate, press forward to release the retainer and lift up on the plate.
2. Slide the switch plate rearward to disengage the tab on the front end of the plate.
3. Disconnect the electrical connector from the power window switch.
4. Use a small, flat-bladed tool in order to remove the power window switch from the switch plate.
5. Remove the power window switch from the switch plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Connect the electrical connector to the power window switch.
2. Align the power window switch to the switch plate.
3. Apply pressure to the power window switch until fully seated.
4. Insert the mounting plate tab into the door trim panel.
