Steering Wheel Control Switch Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disable the SIR system.





2. Remove the steering wheel inflatable restraint module.
3. Remove the steering wheel control switch by gently pulling the switch away from the steering wheel.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector on the steering wheel control switch.
5. Remove the control switch from the steering wheel.

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the electrical connector to the steering wheel control switch.
2. Align the control switch engagement tabs to the steering wheel.
3. Push in on the control switch in order to secure the switch to the steering wheel.
4. Install the steering wheel inflatable restraint module.
5. Enable the SIR.
