Console Shift Lever Bezel Replacement (Oldsmobile)

Removal Procedure

1. Block the wheels to prevent the vehicle from moving.
2. Remove the floor shift control boot from the floor console.
3. Push the automatic transmission shift lock control release tab forward while depressing the shift handle release button and adjust the shift lever fully rearward.




4. Remove the floor console trim plate by releasing the retaining clips.
5. Remove the trim plate from the floor console.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the trim plate from the floor console.
2. Install the floor console trim plate by seating the retaining clips.
3. Install the floor shift control boot to the console.
4. Position the shift lever in the PARK position.
5. Remove the blocks from the vehicle.
