System Checks

In the K-Jetronic system, the quantity of fuel supplied to the injectors is dependent on the air metering. An additional air intake not measured by the air flow sensor plate will result in poor engine performance.

Check for leaks at following points:

1. Rubber duct hose between mixture regulator and throttle body.
2. Cold start injector O-ring at intake manifold plenum.
3. Intake manifold and cylinder head.
4. Injectors and rubber seals.
5. Rubber duct hoses between manifold runners and plenum.
6. Auxiliary air device hoses.
7. Throttle body and manifold plenum.
