Fig. 14 Electrical Circuit Check Points:

1. Ensure ignition switch is off, then disconnect electrical connector to pulse generator at amplifier module.
2. Check resistance between pulse coil leads with ohmmeter. Resistance should be 900 - 1100 ohms.
3. Check resistance between each pulse generator lead and ground. Meter should indicate no continuity. Repeat steps 2 and 3 while applying and releasing vacuum advance capsule. Readings should remain constant throughout pulse generator travel.
4. If readings are not as specified, check wiring between pulse generator and module and repair as needed. If wiring is satisfactory, replace pulse generator.
