SUBJECT: TORX BIT IDENTIFICATION


The increased use of robots in assembling mechanical assemblies for production is making it necessary to use TORX bolts more and more.

The many advantages are:

- better centering of the driving tool in the head of the bolt

- the ability to apply a higher torque to the bolt (far better than ALLEN bolts) without necessarily increasing the diameter of the bolt.

This implementation will require more widespread use of TORX bits already available on the market.



The TORX bits are identified by numbers and not by metric measurement.
