Turn Signal Switch: Service and Repair

Turn Signal Switch Replacement:





HORIZON, OMNI, CHARGER & TURISMO

Removal
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove horn button or horn pad, then the horn switch.
3. Remove steering wheel nut and steering wheel with a suitable puller.
4. Remove four screws from lower steering column cover and cover.
5. Remove screw securing washer-wiper switch and position switch aside.
6. Disconnect turn signal and hazard warning wiring connector, disengage wiring harness from support bracket and remove vinyl tape securing key in buzzer wires to turn signal harness.
7. Remove three turn signal switch retainer screws.
8. Remove turn signal and hazard warning switch while guiding wiring harness out from column.



Installation
1. Guide wiring harness downward through column until switch is properly seated.
2. Install switch retainer and three screws.
3. Snap plastic harness retainer into support bracket, connect harness connector and tape key in buzzer wires to harness.
4. Install washer-wiper switch and retaining screw.
5. Install lower steering column cover.
6. Install steering wheel, horn switch and horn button.
7. Connect battery ground cable.
