Wiper Switch: Service and Repair


Horizon, Omni, Charger & Turismo
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Disconnect wiper switch and turn signal switch wiring harness connectors.
3. Remove lower column cover.
4. Remove horn button.
5. Place ignition lock in "Off" position and turn steering wheel so access hole in hub area is at 9 o'clock position on except 1982 models, and in the 3 o'clock position on 1982 models.
6. With a suitable screwdriver, loosen turn signal lever screw through access hole.
7. Disengage dimmer pushrod from wiper switch.
8. Unsnap wiring clip and remove wiper switch.
9. Reverse procedure to install.




Charger, Horizon, Omni & Turismo
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Depress two spring clips on top of bezel, using a thin blade screwdriver.
3. Tip bezel rearward and pull out switch assembly.
4. Remove switch and lamp electrical connector, then the switch assembly.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
