7B Ignition System Primary Control Circuit

1. With diagnostic read-out tool connected to engine test connector and system in circuit actuation test mode code 01, connect wire to ignition coil negative terminal.
2. Connect an analog voltmeter between coil negative terminal and ground.
3. If voltmeter reading is above 10 volts and not cycling, proceed to step C.
4. If voltmeter is cycling between between 0 and 10 volts, replace ignition coil.
5. If voltmeter is cycling between 0 and 2 volts, proceed to step D.
