Automatic Temperature Control (ATC)

The Automatic temperature control system allows the operator to regulate the passenger compartment environment by programming the desired temperature, direction of air flow and blower speed into the computer which is built into the control panel.

A self test diagnostic mode has been programmed into the permanent memory of the computer. If the computer detects any system failure, a flashing failure code (1-15) will appear on the display. A full no-failure test will last approximately 90 seconds. To command the computer to start the test cycle, depress the bi-level, floor and defrost buttons simultaneously. After each failure code is recorded, depress the "Panel" button to resume the test cycle. If the failure code 3 is displayed, the computer will not continue the test. The "Off" button must be depressed and the proper repair must be performed. At the end of each test cycle, the display will return to a pre-programmed normal defrost setting.
