W/ SMEC/SBEC

The MAP sensor monitors manifold vacuum and transmits information to the SMEC or SBEC to determine the correct air/fuel mixture. The sensor is located on the right shock tower and is connected to a vacuum nipple on the throttle body on non-turbocharged 4-135 and 4-153 engines, the intake manifold nipple on turbocharged 4-135 engines, or on the air intake plenum on V6-181 engines.
