Cruise Control Switch: Service and Repair

1984 - 87 HORIZON, OMNI, CHARGER & TURISMO

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove lower steering column cover.
2. Remove wiring harness from clip, then disconnect speed control electrical connector from harness connector.
3. Remove wiper control knob from end of lever, then slide silencer off lever.
4. Remove speed control switch attaching screws, then lift switch and wiring harness from column.
5. Reverse procedure to install. For standard steering column, insert harness connector through turn signal lever opening in column and pull down and out lower end. For tilt column, insert harness wires through turn signal lever opening in column and pull upward through upper housing.
