Oil Charge Additions

OIL CHARGE-COMPONENT REPLACEMENT

If there are no signs of external oil leakage, proceed as follows to add oil to system during component replacement.

2. Remove defective components. Measure amount of oil remaining in compressor, if removed.
3. Add proper amount of new refrigeration oil to each replacement component as follows:
a. If compressor is replaced, drain replacement compressor and add the same amount of oil as was drained from defective compressor.
b. If condenser is replaced, add 1 ounce of oil to replacement condenser.
c. If evaporator is replaced, add 2 ounces of oil to replacement evaporator.
d. If filter/drier is replaced, add 1 ounce of oil to replacement filter/drier.
4. Install replacement components, then evacuate and recharge system.
